I really like this work because it gets at the essence of the structure. Each shape floats freely in space but also relate to the other shapes. The large light blue square defines the background and is very stable while the shapes dance in space in front of the horizontal lines.

Do I really need the horizontal lines as they define the space but also there is the contrast of the thin lines with the thick, heavy light blue square?
