Collection: Simply Color

Simply color are paintings that have their origins in a painting that I did while a student at the Yale School of Music and Art. They also reflect the influence of Josef Albers' color theory that was taught when I was an undergraduate at Yale. The colors flow across the surface as if poured onto the canvas, and the gentle curves allow each color and shape to exist in peace and harmony with the other colors.

A small shape of bright color is balanced off with a large area of darker color. The colors define and create the shapes.
